When Truth Feels Hard to Find

We’re living through a strange moment in history. Every week seems to bring another headline about AI systems behaving badly, data breaches, misinformation, or digital chaos. Just this morning, reports surfaced that an AI agent accessed an Australian government database — another reminder that the “wild west” of technology is moving faster than our ability to control it.

And honestly? It’s not surprising.

We’ve seen this movie before — The Matrix, Terminator, and a dozen others warned us what happens when human pride, greed, and ambition outrun wisdom. As a society, we have a short memory… or maybe we simply have too much appetite for power and profit to slow down.

But the deeper issue isn’t technology. It’s integrity.

Comedian Jeff Foxworthy said recently that this generation is growing up in a world where truth is almost impossible to find. News is biased. Social media is curated fiction. Political leaders spin narratives instead of facts. Even everyday conversations are filled with half‑truths, misdirections, and “necessary distractions.”

Let’s call it what it is: lies.

And yet — in a world drowning in deception — there is one Source of Truth that has never changed:

“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life.’” — John 14:6

Not a truth.

Not one version of truth. THE Truth.

This is why the message behind the Holy Impact Society collection matters so much right now. It’s not just apparel — it’s a declaration that we stand with the One who is unshakeable, unchanging, and undeniably true.

When the world becomes noisier, the Church must become clearer. When culture becomes more deceptive, Believers must become more courageous. When trust collapses, Truth must rise.

So this week, do something simple but powerful:

• Look up from your phone.

• Smile at someone passing by.

• Tell the grocery cashier, “Have a great day.”

• (And yes — choose the cashier over the self‑checkout. Keep someone employed.)

Remember: the Holy Spirit walks with you. Every interaction is a chance to plant a seed of hope, kindness, and Truth in a world starving for it.

We don’t fight deception with anger. We fight it with light.

We fight it with Truth.

We fight it with Jesus.
