What are you longing for in this life?
There is longing in this world. We all long for security, a sense of purpose, a need to feel included, a fear of loneliness.
Everyone is SEARCHING. So many people in this world are OF this world. They have something missing inside of them, but they are unsure how to fill that void.
Some people look for wholeness in things: a big house with a "good" address; or a beach front property; or maybe a beautiful front lawn.
Some people search for wholeness in people: they idolize a sports star; or follow everything that Taylor Swift does.
Some people search for wholeness in religion: they do good works to "earn it"; or they follow a set of rituals; or they read everything they can about Buddhism, or Islam, or Christianity, or Hinduism; thinking this will bring them closer to understanding and inner peace.
The truth is... there is only ONE TRUTH. In John chapter 14 verse 6, "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
Even if there was no eternity.... even if there was no life-after-death.... Christ has given me such peace in my life... that would be enough for me to follow Him. His love in my life is gift enough. He has filled that hole in my heart with love, acceptance, joy, and peace. I pray He not only does the same for you.... but that you are encouraged to share your testimony on this with others who do not yet know this gift!
